It was a sunny afternoon when Daddy monkey grabbed his woven bag and headed toward the market. He called softly to the others, letting them know he’d be back soon with fresh fruit and treats. But as he stepped away, one little baby clung to the edge of the wooden doorway—Luna.
She had been watching Daddy with curious eyes, but when she realized he wasn’t taking her along, her face crumpled instantly. The tiny baby monkey let out an ear-piercing scream, loud enough to startle the birds off the roof. Her hands slapped the floor and her tail curled tightly in frustration.
She rushed after him, but the door was already shut.
Inside, Luna fell into a full-blown tantrum. She rolled on the ground, crying and shrieking so loudly the other monkeys couldn’t nap. She looked around, confused and heartbroken. “Why didn’t Daddy take me?!” her eyes seemed to scream.
Mama tried to soothe her, gently patting her back and offering a piece of banana, but Luna wanted none of it. She pushed the fruit away and wailed even louder, tears streaming down her soft little cheeks.
Even the younger monkeys backed away, unsure how to calm her down.
After what felt like forever, the door finally creaked open. Daddy stepped inside, his bag full of goodies. Luna immediately stopped crying and ran to him, still sniffing but filled with relief. He knelt down and gave her the first fruit—her favorite: a juicy mango slice.
With the first bite, her sobs disappeared. She curled up in his lap, finally calm, as if nothing had happened.
And just like that, dramatic little Luna reminded everyone that sometimes, all a baby needs is to feel included—and never left behind. 💕🐒🛍️
