It was a calm afternoon, and Daddy decided it was the perfect time to give Luna a little grooming. Her nails had grown long, and he knew trimming them would keep her comfortable. But Luna, being the mischievous and dramatic little monkey she was, had other plans for this “ordinary” moment.
As soon as Daddy brought out the tiny nail clippers, Luna’s eyes widened. She glanced at them as if they were some strange and dangerous invention. When Daddy gently held her hand, she immediately let out a loud, exaggerated squeal — as though she had already been hurt.
“Luna, sweetheart, I haven’t even started yet,” Daddy chuckled, shaking his head. But Luna was determined to put on a show. Every time the clipper touched her nail, she made a funny little wince, pulled her hand back, and looked at Daddy with big, accusing eyes.
She wasn’t scared — oh no — she was enjoying the attention. Her tail swished dramatically, and she’d stop mid-“pain” to peek and see if Daddy was still watching her reactions. It was clear she wanted the moment to be all about her.
Daddy worked slowly and gently, trimming each nail without causing even the slightest discomfort. But Luna acted as if each tiny clip was the most terrible thing in the world. By the time he finished, she let out one last fake sigh, then hopped onto his shoulder, snuggling as if to say, “You survived me, Dad.”
With her nails neatly trimmed and her “performance” complete, Luna returned to playing as if nothing had happened. Daddy just smiled, knowing his little Drama Queen had once again turned an everyday task into a memorable — and hilarious — moment.
