It was a peaceful afternoon in the baby monkey nursery. Sunlight filtered through the leaves, casting golden warmth on the soft blankets below. In the coziest corner, little Bella was deep in her favorite activity—napping with her pacifier.
The tiny baby monkey lay on her side, eyes gently closed, one hand gripping her beloved pacifier, which bobbed slightly as she sucked in her sleep. Her breathing was slow and steady, her little tummy rising and falling like a lullaby.
But then, a twitch.
Bella wriggled her foot.
Her tiny face scrunched slightly.
Without opening her eyes, she began scratching herself with her free hand, first behind her ear, then along her belly. It was as if her dreaming mind couldn’t ignore the little itch that had crept up during her nap.
All the while, the pacifier stayed firmly in her mouth—never letting go. She scratched lazily, like a sleepy kitten, barely awake but needing to get rid of the tickle.
Caretakers nearby giggled softly. It was the cutest sight: Bella, half-asleep, sucking gently on her pacifier while moving just enough to take care of her itchy spots. Her foot kicked once, then she let out a tiny sigh and curled back into her blanket nest.
Her soft fur fluffed in the breeze, and she pulled her tail over her side like a cozy scarf. The pacifier made a little popping sound as she adjusted it, and she fell right back into deeper sleep.
In that moment, everything felt pure, calm, and innocent—a baby monkey just being her sweet self.
