In the cozy playroom under the warm morning sun, little BB the baby monkey was already throwing a full-blown tantrum. Her mom had gently set her down on the colorful play mat, hoping BB would enjoy her toys. But the moment her bottom touched the floor, BB burst into drama.

She didn’t want to play—she wanted to be held, rocked, and snuggled like a tiny queen. With a loud squeal, she rolled over on the mat dramatically, flinging her arms in all directions like a star actress in a movie.

Mom stood nearby, watching patiently but refusing to pick her up again. She had just spent the whole morning cleaning BB, changing her diaper, and making warm milk. Now it was BB’s time to play and build independence. But BB had other plans.

“Eeeek! Eeeh!” BB wailed as she kicked her legs and twisted her tiny body, rolling herself into a fluffy blanket like a burrito of rebellion. Her face scrunched, her lips pouted, and she glared toward mom, as if to say, “How dare you put me down!”

Still, her mom didn’t rush over. She knew BB’s tantrums well and let her get the frustration out.

After a few more dramatic rolls and squeals, BB peeked toward mom with teary eyes. Seeing no reaction, she slowly crawled back toward her and grabbed her leg, letting out a tiny whimper.

Mom finally picked her up, giving her a soft cuddle. BB immediately calmed down, snuggling into her shoulder and letting out a big, exaggerated sigh—as if to say, “Finally!”

The tantrum faded as quickly as it had started, and BB rested in mom’s arms, soothed and content once again. For now. Until the next little drama began…
