High up in the jungle canopy, a tiny monkey named Coco clung to a branch, his small body trembling. He had climbed too high while chasing a butterfly, and now he was stuck! The wind rustled the leaves around him, making the branch sway.
“Mama! Help!” Coco squeaked, his little heart pounding. He looked down and saw how far the ground was. He had never been this high before.
Down below, his mother, Nala, heard his cries and rushed to the tree. “Coco, sweetheart! Stay calm, I’m coming!” she called.
The other jungle animals gathered, watching the poor baby monkey gripping the branch with wide, frightened eyes. A parrot fluttered nearby, squawking, “Oh dear, oh dear! Coco’s stuck up there!”
Nala climbed swiftly, her strong hands gripping the branches as she made her way up. But before she could reach him, Coco whimpered, “Mama, I can’t move! I’m scared!”
Nala paused, her voice gentle. “Coco, take a deep breath. You’re brave, my little one. Just listen to my voice.”
Coco sniffled and nodded.
“Now, slowly move one hand to the branch below you,” Nala instructed. Coco hesitated but obeyed, inching down carefully. Step by step, he followed his mother’s guidance, his fear fading with every move.
Finally, with one last jump, he landed safely in his mother’s arms. The animals cheered, and Nala hugged Coco tight. “See? You did it, my brave little monkey!”
Coco giggled, relieved. “I was scared, but I knew you’d help me, Mama.”
That night, as he curled up beside her, Coco promised himself that next time, he’d be more careful—but he also knew that no matter what, Mama would always be there to catch him.
