Jessa’s Happy Screams for Mom

Comments Off on Jessa’s Happy Screams for Mom

Tiny Jessa had been waiting all morning.

She sat near the front door, her eyes glued to it, ears twitching at every sound. Her soft hands tapped the floor impatiently. Mommy had gone out to get fruit, and Jessa felt every second of her absence.

Then—the gate creaked.

Jessa’s ears perked, her eyes lit up.

“Eeek! Eeeh! Eeeeh!!” she squealed, jumping to her feet.

The door opened, and in walked Mom holding a small basket of bananas and milk. Before she could take a single step inside, Jessa sprinted forward, arms waving, mouth wide open in the loudest, happiest baby monkey screams ever heard.

“MAMA!!” her voice seemed to say in monkey talk. She jumped up and down, flailing with joy, as if announcing to the whole house: “SHE’S BACK!!”

Mom laughed, kneeling to greet her little vocal girl.

Jessa hugged her tightly, clinging to her neck, still squealing little high-pitched sounds that filled the room with pure joy. Her tail wagged back and forth like a drumbeat of happiness.

“You missed me that much?” Mom chuckled, offering her a fresh slice of banana.

Jessa didn’t even touch the food at first. She was too busy pressing her head to Mom’s cheek and babbling nonstop, her little mouth moving as if she was retelling everything that happened while Mom was gone—even though it had only been 30 minutes.

Mom sat down on the mat, and Jessa curled up in her lap, still talking, still grinning.

That moment reminded everyone: no one celebrates love louder than a baby monkey waiting for Mom to come home. 💕
