Baby monkey Milo was pacing around the kitchen, his tiny hands on his hips, and his tail swishing back and forth in frustration. Dad was taking forever to prepare his favorite snack—a juicy bowl of mashed bananas with honey.
“Dad, hurry up! I’m starving!” Milo chirped loudly, hopping up and down. He peered over the counter, trying to see what was taking so long. “Come on, I can’t wait all day!”
Dad chuckled, shaking his head as he sliced the bananas. “Patience, Milo! Good things take time,” he said, calmly drizzling the honey over the bowl.
But patience wasn’t Milo’s strong suit. He climbed onto the counter, grabbed a spoon, and scooped a mouthful straight from the mixing bowl. “Mmm!” he hummed happily. “See, Dad? I knew it was ready!”
Dad shook his head, laughing as he handed Milo the finished bowl. “Next time, maybe try waiting a little longer, buddy.”
Milo grinned mischievously, his cheeks stuffed with bananas. “Next time, make it snappy, Dad!”
