The jungle was alive with its usual symphony of chirping birds and rustling leaves. High up in a towering tree, Mommy Monkey was foraging for fruits while her tiny baby clung tightly to her belly. Baby Dodo, curious as ever, couldn’t resist reaching out to touch the swaying branches.
“Hold on, Dodo,” Mommy Monkey warned, her sharp eyes watching his every move. But the baby was too excited, stretching his little arms to grab a shiny red fruit dangling just out of reach.
Suddenly, disaster struck. The branch beneath Dodo gave way, and in an instant, the tiny monkey lost his grip. He let out a high-pitched scream as he tumbled through the air.
Mommy Monkey’s heart stopped. Without hesitation, she leaped after her baby, her body twisting mid-air as she reached out with her strong arms. The ground below was covered in jagged rocks and twisted roots—there was no room for error.
With an incredible burst of speed, she caught Dodo just before he hit the ground. The force of the catch sent them both tumbling, but Mommy Monkey clutched her baby tightly, shielding him with her body.
When they finally came to a stop, Mommy Monkey was breathing heavily, her fur dusted with dirt and leaves. Dodo clung to her chest, shaking and whimpering softly. She inspected him quickly—thankfully, he was unharmed, though terrified.
Mommy Monkey pulled him close, kissing his tiny head. “You scared me so much, my little one,” she murmured, her voice trembling with relief.
As they climbed back up the tree, Dodo clung to his mom with all his strength, finally understanding her warnings. Mommy Monkey, though still shaken, was just grateful that her baby was safe.
