Little Mario was in one of those moods again. It started as a normal morning—the sun was shining, the breeze was soft, and Mom was gently getting everything ready for breakfast. But when she lifted Mario and placed him gently on the table so she could grab a bottle of water for him… the drama began!
Mario’s face scrunched up instantly. He let out a loud squeal, kicked his little feet, and slapped the table with frustration. He didn’t like being put down—not when he wanted to be held, cuddled, and treated like the baby prince he believed he was.
“Just one second, sweetie,” Mom called softly from across the room as she poured clean water into his sippy cup. But to Mario, one second felt like forever. His little arms reached out dramatically, and he let out a full-blown temper tantrum, crying and twisting like he was being left behind forever.
He didn’t want the water now. He didn’t even want milk. He just wanted MOM.
The other baby monkeys peeked in to see what the fuss was about. Mario’s tantrum echoed through the house like a siren. His big eyes were watery, and his cheeks puffed up as he sobbed louder.
Mom came back quickly with the water. She smiled, kissed his forehead, and said, “There, there. I was just getting this for you, silly boy.”
But Mario turned his head with a little huff, still offended. It took a few more snuggles and kisses before he finally accepted the drink and settled into Mom’s arms again.
Drama over. For now.
That was Mario—a tiny monkey with a giant personality. All he wanted was love, attention, and a reminder that Mom would always come back, even if it was just for a sip of water.
