Sweet little Tourtour had a calm and gentle soul. Unlike his siblings who often raced around, climbed walls, or caused mischief, Tourtour was different. On this quiet morning, as the sun peeked through the leaves and the breeze drifted gently by, Mom was busy cleaning their little home space—sweeping, tidying, and organizing food.

Tourtour noticed Mom was focused, so instead of begging for attention or causing trouble, he chose to sit still on the soft mat nearby. He curled up in a cozy ball with his tail wrapped snugly around his tiny body, his big eyes following Mom’s every move.

He didn’t cry. He didn’t whine. He simply waited. His patience made him look like a wise little monk, and even though he was just a baby, his maturity surprised everyone.

From time to time, Mom looked back at him, checking with a warm glance. Tourtour blinked slowly, offering her the most peaceful expression as if saying, “I’m okay, Mom. You do your thing.”

The other monkeys leapt around, chasing and tumbling over one another, but Tourtour remained in his little spot. He seemed to understand that Mom was busy, and his stillness was his way of showing love and support.

When Mom finally finished her tasks, she walked over to Tourtour, knelt down, and scooped him into her arms. His little face lit up with joy as he snuggled into her neck, happy to feel her warmth and attention again.

“You’re such a good boy,” she whispered, giving him a gentle kiss on the head.
