The morning sun streamed through the windows, filling the small room with a warm glow. Baby monkey BiBi sat on a soft cushion, cradling her tiny hand close to her chest. Her usually playful demeanor was subdued, her big, round eyes glancing at her mom with a mixture of trust and worry.
BiBi’s hand had been hurt the day before while playing too enthusiastically with her siblings. The small cut was not serious, but her mom knew it needed proper care to heal. Today was the day for her to take some medicine to help with the pain and prevent any infection.
“BiBi, sweetheart,” Mom called gently as she approached with a tiny cup of liquid medicine and a soft cloth to clean her wound. “This will help your hand feel better.”
BiBi tilted her head curiously but didn’t resist as Mom carefully cleaned the wound. The sting made her flinch slightly, but she didn’t cry. “You’re such a brave girl,” Mom said, smiling warmly.
When it was time for the medicine, BiBi hesitated for a moment, her tiny nose twitching as she sniffed at the unfamiliar liquid. Mom placed a reassuring hand on her back. “Come on, my good girl. Just one sip, and we’re done.”
To Mom’s delight, BiBi obediently opened her mouth and took the medicine without fuss. She made a little face at the bitter taste but quickly swallowed it down.
“There! All done!” Mom cheered, giving BiBi a gentle pat on her head.
BiBi chirped softly in response, her confidence boosted by Mom’s praise. She snuggled into Mom’s arms, knowing she was in safe hands.
The rest of the day, BiBi proudly showed her bandaged hand to everyone, basking in the attention and care she received.
