The sun was just beginning to rise, painting the sky with soft hues of pink and orange. Mom carefully wrapped baby monkey Rojo in a small, cozy blanket. Rojo, usually full of energy, looked unusually quiet and clingy, his little body snuggling close to his mom.

“Let’s go, sweetheart,” Mom whispered, her voice filled with concern. She placed Rojo into a sling across her chest, ensuring he was secure for their early morning trip to the hospital.

The journey through the quiet streets was peaceful, but Mom couldn’t shake her worry. Rojo had been feeling under the weather for days, his usual playful antics replaced with lethargy and soft whimpers. The decision to visit the hospital was unavoidable.

When they arrived, the cool air of the hospital greeted them. Mom carried Rojo inside, where the staff immediately noticed the little one’s droopy eyes and weak demeanor. A kind veterinarian greeted them, gently examining Rojo.

“He’s a little dehydrated,” the vet explained. “But don’t worry, it’s nothing serious. A few days of rest and this medicine will have him back to his mischievous self.”

Rojo squeaked softly as the vet administered the medicine. Mom held him close, stroking his soft fur and whispering comforting words. “You’re such a brave boy,” she murmured.

The vet handed over a small packet of instructions and smiled. “Take care of him, and he’ll be bouncing around in no time.”

On the way home, Rojo seemed a bit brighter, peeking out from his blanket as the morning light grew stronger. Mom kissed his tiny forehead, relieved to know he was on the mend.
