Heartbroken Tong begs for mom’s arms

Little Tong sat on the wooden floor, his tiny hands reaching out, his eyes full of hope. He wanted his mom to pick him up — to feel her warmth, her heartbeat, and her love. But today, Mom Monkey was busy cleaning and didn’t respond right away.

At first, Tong waited quietly, blinking his big round eyes. But when Mom still didn’t come, his heart began to ache. A soft whimper escaped his lips, turning into a frustrated cry. “Eee! Eee!” he screamed, stomping his little feet, his tail twitching in anger.

He tugged at Mom’s leg, but she gently pushed him aside. That broke him completely. Tong’s tiny face twisted with heartbreak; tears rolled down his cheeks. He couldn’t understand why Mom wouldn’t hold him. All he wanted was a hug — just a moment of love.

He sat down again, lower lip trembling, his cries echoing softly around the room. Every second without Mom’s touch felt like forever.

Finally, when Mom turned around, she saw his tear-streaked face and realized how deeply it had hurt him. Her heart melted. She quickly scooped him up, holding him close. Tong buried his face into her chest, clinging tightly, his cries turning into quiet sniffles.

“Shh, my baby,” Mom whispered gently, rocking him back and forth. “Mommy’s here now. Don’t cry.”

Tong’s tiny body relaxed in her arms. The anger faded away, replaced by peace and warmth. His eyes slowly closed, his heart finally comforted.

Sometimes, even a little monkey’s heart can feel the deepest sadness — but a mother’s hug has the power to heal it all.
