Baby Tong can’t bear being alone

The morning sun had just peeked through the trees when little Tong began his usual playful mischief. But today was different — Mom had to step away for a few minutes to get milk, and that was something Tong couldn’t accept.

As soon as he saw Mom walking away, his tiny heart began to panic. His little hands trembled, and his eyes filled with fear. “Eee! Eee!” he cried, jumping up and down, his voice echoing through the yard. He thought Mom was leaving him forever.

Mom turned around, her heart aching at the sight of her baby’s tears. But before she could take a single step back, Tong leaped toward her, wrapping his tiny arms around her waist, refusing to let go. His face buried into her fur, his cries becoming muffled and desperate.

Mom sighed softly and lifted him up into her arms. “Oh, my silly boy,” she whispered, kissing the top of his little head. “Mommy just went to get your milk.”

Tong clung tightly, his tail curled around her arm as if afraid she might disappear again. His breathing slowed, and his tears began to fade. Slowly, a small smile returned to his lips.

Mom rocked him gently, whispering soothing words until his body relaxed completely. The tantrum was over, replaced by the sweet comfort of being safe once more.

As they sat together, Tong tucked his head under her chin, the warmth of her love wrapping around him like a soft blanket. For little Tong, nothing in the world mattered more than being close to Mom — and for her, there was no greater joy than knowing her baby needed her that much.
