Chamroeun’s Wobbly Walk to Daddy After Bath Time

The evening breeze was soft, and the sun hung low in the sky as Chamroeun finished his bath. His soft fur was still a little damp, and the smell of baby soap clung sweetly to him.

Wrapped briefly in a tiny towel, Chamroeun was fresh, clean… and absolutely wild.

He wriggled free from the towel with a squeal, leaving it behind as he boldly stood on his two wobbly legs, determined to walk across the yard by himself.
His destination?
Daddy.
Because after bath time, it was always Daddy’s job to put on the diaper.

“Chamroeun!” Daddy called playfully, holding the little cloth diaper open, ready.

The baby monkey perked up, ears twitching. He squeaked, then took a big, unsteady step—then another. His arms flailed for balance, his legs stiff but determined.

Step… wobble… step… pause…

He looked so serious, like he was on a mission to save the world.

Daddy chuckled. “Come on, my clean little boy!”

Chamroeun huffed, puffed out his chest, and kept going. His bare bottom bounced with each shaky step, and his face lit up with pride the closer he got. He let out a triumphant cry when he finally reached Daddy’s lap, nearly falling forward with joy.

Daddy scooped him up with a laugh, wrapping him in a warm cuddle. “You did it! Big boy walking on two legs now, huh?”

Chamroeun squealed, nuzzling into Daddy’s chest, proud and still a little wet.

With gentle hands, Daddy diapered him, whispering praise the whole time.

And Chamroeun?
He just smiled.

Because growing up is hard—but when Daddy’s at the end of the path, every step feels worth it.
