Rocky & Quin Refuse to Forgive Mom

Comments Off on Rocky & Quin Refuse to Forgive Mom

It was supposed to be just another ordinary afternoon—warm sun, playful chatter, and cozy cuddles in Mom’s arms. But things didn’t go as planned.

As Mom tried to juggle a basket of fruit and the two squirmy babies, she lost her balance—and plop! both Rocky and Quin slid right off her lap and tumbled gently onto the soft grass below.

They weren’t hurt.
But their feelings?
Crushed.

Rocky sat up first, arms crossed, giving Mom a dramatic glare. “Eeeeh!” he squeaked, full of betrayal. Quin followed with a loud huff, scooting a few inches away like she’d been seriously wronged.

Mom rushed to them, panicked. “Oh no! Babies, I’m so sorry!”

But the babies weren’t having it.

Rocky turned his back, refusing eye contact.
Quin picked up a dry leaf and stared at it like it was more interesting than the whole world—including Mom.

They didn’t want hugs.
They didn’t want milk.
They wanted her to know—she had dropped them.

For the next ten minutes, the two sat sulking, arms folded, tails twitching in grumpy rhythm. Mom tried offering bananas. Nope. Head pats? Rejected. Songs? Not today.

Finally, she sat down beside them with a sad little sigh. “I didn’t mean to, babies. I love you more than anything.”

Rocky peeked.
Quin blinked.

They looked at each other… then slowly climbed into Mom’s lap again—still pouting, but a little softer now. Rocky clung to her side. Quin nuzzled into her belly.

They forgave her—mostly.
But they’d definitely make sure she never dropped them again.

Because to Rocky and Quin, trust means everything.
And next time, she better hold on tight.
