Loud Screams for Daddy’s Hug

Little baby monkey Kiko was having a rough morning. He sat on the wooden table, looking around with big, expectant eyes, waiting for his father. All he wanted was a warm hug — just a little cuddle to start his day.

But Daddy Monkey was busy grooming another sibling and didn’t notice Kiko reaching out with tiny hands, silently asking for attention. Kiko’s little heart sank. His father didn’t even look his way.

At first, Kiko just sat there, twitching his tail and biting his lower lip. But as the seconds passed with no response, frustration built up inside him like a volcano. Suddenly, he screamed — a long, high-pitched cry that echoed across the room!

“Eeeeeeeek!”

Everyone turned. Daddy Monkey looked up, startled. Kiko stomped his feet on the table and cried louder, throwing himself back in dramatic protest. His little hands grabbed the edge of the table as he screamed again, demanding to be noticed.

The caregivers tried to calm him. “Kiko, sweetheart, it’s okay,” one whispered, gently placing a soft cloth under him. But he wasn’t done. His big, watery eyes looked toward his dad again — angry, sad, and hurt.

Daddy finally walked over, curious about the noise. As soon as Kiko saw him, he leapt into his arms with a loud sniffle and held on tight, burying his face into his dad’s chest.

The room calmed down. Kiko’s screams faded into soft sobs, then into quiet breathing as he finally got what he needed: the hug he had been crying for.

Sometimes, even the tiniest monkeys just want to feel loved and not forgotten.
