In the warm sunlight of the family’s cozy patio, baby monkeys were gathering around Mom for cuddles and milk. Ken, the soft and gentle little one, had found his way to Mom’s side, happily snuggling close to her arm. His eyes were half-closed in comfort as Mom gently stroked his back.
But not far away, BeeBoy was watching—his heart bubbling with jealousy. He had been trying all morning to get Mom’s attention, but every time he reached her, another baby had already nestled in.
Unable to hold his feelings in, BeeBoy stormed over to Ken. Without hesitation, he shoved Ken hard with both hands. Poor Ken tumbled sideways with a little yelp, eyes wide with surprise and hurt.
Mom turned immediately. She scooped up Ken to comfort him and then looked straight at BeeBoy. Her expression wasn’t angry—but firm. BeeBoy sat still, breathing heavily, his small chest rising and falling as he stared at the ground. He didn’t mean to hurt Ken—he just didn’t want to be left out.
The caregiver gently approached, lifting BeeBoy onto their lap. He was given a soft cuddle and some kind words. “You don’t have to push,” they whispered. “There’s always love for you too.”
After a few minutes, BeeBoy was calmer. Ken, still a little shaken, forgave him with a soft touch on the hand. The two sat near Mom again—this time, side by side.
It was a little moment of learning for BeeBoy. Jealousy had overwhelmed him, but with care and patience, he was reminded that love doesn’t run out. There’s enough room beside Mom for both gentle Ken and fiery BeeBoy.
