Little Linda is a sweet, sensitive baby monkey who wears her heart on her sleeve. She’s usually playful and cheerful—but today was different.
Mom had to step out for a short while, just to run a quick errand. But for baby Linda, even a few minutes felt like forever. As soon as the door closed behind Mom, Linda’s eyes widened. Her tiny hands searched the space, her ears twitched, and her lips began to tremble.
And then it happened—she let out the sharpest, saddest cry, flopping down dramatically on the floor.
She didn’t want toys. She didn’t want snacks. All she wanted was Mom. Her little body lay across the cool tiles, her arms stretched out as if she were hoping Mom would magically appear and scoop her up.
Neighbors passing by could hear her soft, high-pitched sobs. It was a sound full of longing and confusion. She couldn’t understand why Mom wasn’t there, and her heart just couldn’t take the wait.
But just as her eyes were beginning to close from exhaustion and sadness, the door creaked open. Mom was home.
Linda shot up like lightning, running into her arms with the loudest, happiest squeal. The floor that had felt like a place of sorrow turned into a stage for joyful reunion.
Mom hugged her tight, wiping her little tears away. “I’m here, my baby,” she whispered.
Linda clung tighter, promising with her tiny heart that she’d never let Mom go again.
For Linda, love is everything. And when that love comes back through the door, her world becomes bright once more. ❤️🐒
