The first time I met BiBi, the sight stopped my heart.
Deep in the dense forest, the cries of a baby monkey echoed through the trees—sharp, desperate, and full of fear. I followed the sound until I saw him: tiny BiBi, trembling, caught in a cruel snare set by hunters. His little leg was tightly wrapped in wire, cutting into his skin. His eyes were wide, filled with terror and pain.
Branches rustled as I approached. BiBi panicked, trying to pull away, only making the injury worse. I dropped to my knees, speaking gently, trying to show him I meant no harm. It took time. He was so scared—so broken.
Slowly, I reached the trap. My hands shook as I worked the wire free, carefully not to hurt him more. When the final loop came off, BiBi collapsed into my arms, exhausted and sobbing softly like a human child.
That was the moment our journey began.
The full video captured every second: his terrified eyes, the brutal trap, and finally, the first time he accepted safety in my arms. It’s raw, emotional, and unforgettable.
Back at the rescue center, BiBi was treated for his wounds and given warm milk. It took weeks before he smiled. But now? He’s playful, gentle, and trusts again.
BiBi survived what many wouldn’t. He’s a symbol of resilience—and a reminder of why we must protect these innocent lives from cruelty.
