Little Bebe, the beloved baby monkey, sat quietly on the table, her tiny arms wrapped around herself. Her usual bright eyes were dull, and soft little moans came from her mouth—a sound of deep sadness that could break anyone’s heart.
She had been playing happily just a while ago, but when she realized her mom had stepped away to do something else, Bebe’s world felt empty. No milk, no cuddles, no gentle hand to pet her back—just silence and waiting.
She looked around slowly, as if searching for her mother to walk through the door. Every little sound made her ears twitch with hope. But each time the footsteps passed by, and it wasn’t her mom, her shoulders dropped and a low moan escaped her lips again.
Bebe didn’t throw a tantrum. She didn’t cry loudly or get angry. Instead, she sat still, moaning softly—a quiet plea for love and comfort. It was as if she was saying, “Where are you, Mom? I need you.”
When her mom finally returned, carrying warm milk and her favorite blanket, Bebe didn’t jump or squeal. Instead, she simply stretched out her arms, eyes filling with tears of relief. She nestled deep into her mom’s arms, her tiny body relaxing completely.
Mom kissed the top of her head and whispered, “I’m here now, sweet girl.”
Bebe gave one last soft moan, this time of comfort, and slowly drifted into peaceful rest on her mom’s lap.
Even the strongest little monkey sometimes just needs a cuddle.
