Max Screams for Mom Not to Leave Him

Little Max was sitting on the ground, his tiny hands gripping the edge of the chair. His eyes were locked onto Mom as she walked away, heading toward the door. His heart pounded—where was she going? Was she leaving him behind?

As soon as Mom took another step, Max let out a loud, desperate scream. His tiny body trembled with frustration, and he stomped his little feet. “Don’t go!” his cry seemed to say. His big, teary eyes followed her every move, his tiny lips quivering.

Mom turned around and sighed. “Max, I’ll be right back,” she tried to assure him. But Max didn’t want to hear it. He wanted to be held—right now!

Tears rolled down his furry cheeks as he threw his arms up, demanding to be picked up. His little voice filled the air, growing louder each second. The thought of being left alone was unbearable.

He threw himself onto the floor, rolling and kicking in frustration. His cries echoed through the room. He didn’t care if Mom would only be gone for a moment—he needed her to stay!

Seeing his dramatic reaction, Mom couldn’t help but smile. She walked back, scooping him into her arms. As soon as he felt her warmth, his sobs slowed down. He sniffled, resting his head against her chest, finally feeling safe again.

“See? I’m right here,” Mom whispered, stroking his back.

Max let out a small sigh, his tiny hands gripping onto her tightly. As long as he was in Mom’s arms, the world was perfect again.
