Baby Yuri’s tiny body trembled as she let out heartbreaking cries. Her small hands clenched into fists, and her little face turned red with frustration. She was hungry—desperately hungry. The soft morning sun bathed the room in warmth, but for Yuri, nothing mattered except the emptiness in her stomach.
Her mother, Minea, was busy preparing food, but to Yuri, every second felt like an eternity. She crawled toward her mom, reaching out with pleading eyes, but Minea gently nudged her aside. “Just a little longer, my love,” Minea cooed, but Yuri didn’t understand.
Her cries grew louder, echoing through the home. She rolled on the floor, kicking her legs in frustration. The other monkeys peeked in, concerned by the tiny baby’s distress. Titas, the older brother, tried to comfort her, patting her gently, but Yuri pushed him away. She wanted only one thing—her mother’s milk.
Minea finally finished and turned to her baby, scooping her up into her warm embrace. “Shhh, Mama is here,” she whispered, bringing Yuri close to feed her. As soon as she latched on, the cries stopped instantly. Yuri’s tiny body relaxed, her sobs turning into quiet sniffles as she suckled hungrily.
Within moments, her little eyelids drooped, her hunger finally satisfied. She snuggled into her mother’s chest, letting out a deep sigh. Minea kissed her baby’s forehead, rocking her gently.
