Yuri’s Bedtime Drama

Sister Yuri was relaxing in her soft bed, her favorite stuffed banana toy beside her and a fresh blanket tucked neatly under her chin. All was calm, peaceful, and perfect — until the unexpected happened.

A caretaker gently walked in holding a tiny newborn baby monkey, wrapped in a soft towel.

Yuri’s eyes squinted suspiciously. She sat up. “What’s going on?”

Then — to her complete horror — the caretaker placed the newborn right beside her bed.

Yuri’s jaw dropped.

“EEEHHH!!” she screeched, dramatically jumping to the edge of her bed and pointing as if an alien had landed. The tiny baby cooed softly, totally unaware of the chaos he had just caused.

But for Yuri? This was a bed invasion.

She started fussing — stomping her feet, tossing her blanket, and turning her back to the baby. She looked at her caretaker like, “Seriously? This tiny thing? Right here?!” Her wild expressions had everyone laughing.

The newborn sneezed.

Yuri leapt in the air, yelping again, then dramatically flopped on the floor in protest, tail flapping like a flag. She gave a series of loud, offended grunts and even pushed her banana toy further away, as if it had betrayed her too.

Meanwhile, the newborn simply blinked and yawned — peacefully settling in like it was no big deal.

Eventually, Yuri peeked over her shoulder. Her noise slowed. Her grumbles softened.

Then, inch by inch, she scooted back into her bed — now sharing space with the tiny, sleepy intruder. She pouted but didn’t move him again.

By bedtime, Yuri was curled beside him, arms crossed, but tail gently touching his tiny foot.

She may have been dramatic… but deep down, Yuri was already becoming a big sister.
