The sun had just started to rise, casting a soft glow over the quiet morning. But one sound broke the peaceful air—Robby’s loud, desperate cries.
The tiny baby monkey sat on the ground, his little belly empty and craving milk. His mom was busy searching for food nearby, but Robby couldn’t wait any longer. Tears welled up in his big, round eyes as he let out an even louder scream, his tiny hands reaching out.
“Milk! Milk!” If only he could speak, that’s exactly what he would say.
Robby’s cries grew more intense, his small body shaking from hunger. He rolled onto his back, kicking his tiny legs in frustration, making his cries echo through the trees. A few other monkeys turned to look, but no one could help him.
Finally, his mom heard his cries and rushed over. As soon as he saw her, Robby crawled toward her in a hurry, grabbing onto her fur tightly. His tiny fingers clenched her chest, and his mouth searched for milk.
The moment he latched on, he let out a deep sigh of relief. His loud cries slowly turned into soft whimpers as he drank, his little body relaxing in his mother’s warm embrace.
His mom gently stroked his back, letting him drink as much as he needed. She knew her baby had been so hungry, and she felt guilty for taking too long.
After a few moments, Robby’s belly was full, and his eyes started to close. The tantrum was over, and now all he wanted was to snuggle close to his mom and rest.
