The rain poured heavily in the dense forest, soaking the leaves and making the ground muddy. The air smelled fresh, but the sound of tiny cries echoed through the trees. A woman, who had been walking along a narrow path, stopped in her tracks. The weak, desperate cries tugged at her heart.
She carefully stepped forward, scanning the area. Beneath a large tree, hidden under wet leaves, she saw them—two tiny newborn baby monkeys. Their bodies were trembling, their fur drenched from the cold rain. One of them was curled up, eyes barely open, while the other tried to move, its little limbs weak.
The woman gasped, her heart aching for the helpless babies. Where was their mother? Had something happened to her?
She quickly removed her scarf and gently wrapped the tiny creatures, shielding them from the rain. As she lifted them up, they clung to her warmth, their cries softening. She held them close to her chest, trying to give them comfort.
Without wasting time, she hurried back toward her home, her mind racing with thoughts of how to care for them. She knew these babies needed warmth, food, and love to survive.
As she entered her house, she carefully dried their wet fur with a soft cloth and prepared warm milk in a small bottle. One by one, she fed them, feeling relieved when they drank eagerly. Their tiny hands grasped her fingers, trusting her completely.
The storm continued outside, but inside, the two newborns were safe. The woman knew this was just the beginning of their journey, but she promised herself—she would protect them and give them the love they had lost.
