The morning sun rose gently over the village, casting a golden glow on the trees. Baby monkey Garina sat on the ground, her tiny belly growling with hunger. She hadn’t eaten since early morning, and now, her little body felt weak.
Her big, round eyes scanned the area, hoping to spot her mother or someone who would give her food. But no one seemed to notice her. Her lips trembled as she let out a soft whimper, her tiny hands clutching her empty stomach.
Slowly, she walked toward a group of monkeys munching on bananas. She reached out her tiny hand, hoping to get just a small piece. But the older monkeys pushed her away, not willing to share. Garina’s face dropped in sadness, her stomach still aching.
Feeling desperate, she turned toward the humans nearby. With her innocent eyes full of hope, she walked up to a kind woman who had some fruit in her hands. She tugged lightly at the woman’s skirt, letting out a tiny cry.
The woman looked down and saw the poor little monkey staring up at her with pleading eyes. Her heart melted. Without hesitation, she peeled a ripe banana and handed it to Garina.
The tiny monkey’s face lit up with joy. She grabbed the banana with both hands and took big bites, chewing happily. Her hunger slowly faded, and for the first time that morning, she felt safe and content.
After finishing her meal, she curled up under a tree, her tummy finally full. With a soft sigh, she closed her eyes, feeling warm and loved. Even on the hardest days, kindness could bring comfort to a hungry little soul.
