The early morning sunlight filtered through the forest canopy, casting golden rays on the soft ground below. Baby monkey Abi woke up from his cozy spot, yawning and rubbing his tiny eyes. But as he looked around, he realized something important—his mother wasn’t there.

Abi tilted his head, his big, curious eyes scanning the trees. A soft chirp escaped his lips, the first call to his mother. When there was no answer, Abi began his quest.

With his fluffy tail trailing behind him, Abi scampered through the forest, peeking behind bushes and climbing low branches. He stopped at a berry bush, thinking maybe his mother was there enjoying her favorite treat. No sign of her. Abi frowned, his little face scrunching up in the most adorable way.

Then he came across a group of butterflies fluttering around a patch of flowers. He paused, momentarily distracted by their vibrant colors. He clapped his tiny hands in delight but quickly remembered his mission.

Abi called out again, this time louder. “Oo-oo-oo!” His voice echoed through the trees. A rustling sound caught his attention, and his ears perked up. He turned toward the sound, hope lighting up his face.

Finally, there she was—his mother, perched on a branch with a ripe banana in hand. Abi’s face lit up with pure joy as he leapt toward her, wrapping his tiny arms around her neck. His mother chuckled softly, hugging him close.

Abi looked up at her with his cute, relieved face, as if to say, “I missed you!” She stroked his head lovingly, reassuring him with her gentle presence.

From that moment on, Abi made sure to stay close to his mother, savoring every warm and comforting moment together in their beautiful forest home.
