Little Selena was in a huge mood—
Even though she was the tiniest one there.
Her tiny face burned with emotion, lips trembling into the deepest pout while tears filled her eyes. Mom quickly came close, trying to comfort her gently before the tantrum grew bigger.
But Selena didn’t want comfort.
Not yet.
The moment Mom reached out to hold her—
“AHHHHH!”
Selena screamed loudly in protest.
Her tiny body pushed backward dramatically while she waved her little hands, refusing to go into Mom’s arms. Every attempt to soothe her only made her cry harder.
No cuddles.
No calming.
Only feelings.
Big feelings.
Poor tiny baby screamed with all her strength, tiny chest rising and falling quickly while she turned her face away stubbornly from Mom’s comfort.
Mom stayed patient. “It’s okay, Selena… calm down, baby.”
But Selena answered with another loud emotional scream, clearly overwhelmed and determined to reject comfort for the moment.
Her little body shook with frustration while tears rolled down her cheeks nonstop.
Even though deep down—
She still wanted Mom nearby.
Mom remained close without forcing anything, softly speaking to her and waiting calmly while Selena released all her tiny emotions.
Little by little—
The loud screams weakened.
The pushing slowed.
And eventually, after one final shaky sob, Selena slowly leaned closer on her own.
Mom gently cuddled her against warm arms.
This time—
No rejection.
Only exhausted little sniffles as the tiny baby finally accepted the comfort she needed all along.
Because sometimes, tiny babies refuse comfort not because they don’t want love—
But because their little hearts are simply overwhelmed with emotion.
