It was early in the morning, and Daddy was busy in the kitchen preparing a warm milk formula for his two little monkeys, Monica and Minea. Both girls loved milk, but while Minea usually waited patiently, Monica… well, patience was never her strongest trait.
The moment Monica saw Daddy picking up the milk bottle, her eyes lit up. She knew what was coming and wanted to make sure she got the first sip. Unfortunately for Minea, that meant trouble was brewing.
Before Daddy could even finish mixing the formula, Monica started inching closer to her sister, eyes narrowing like a little troublemaker. Minea, sensing the tension, tried to scoot away, but Monica wasn’t having it. She reached out, tugged at Minea’s arm, and let out a sharp, bossy squeak as if to say, “Stay back! This milk is mine!”
Minea squealed in protest, pushing Monica away, but that only made Monica more determined. The two began a tiny tug-of-war — Minea trying to keep her space, Monica trying to claim it. Their little voices filled the room, making Daddy glance back with a sigh.
“Girls! The milk isn’t even ready yet!” he said, trying to keep his laughter in check.
Monica ignored him, giving Minea one last dramatic shove before hopping up on the table, keeping her eyes locked on the milk bottle like a guard protecting treasure.
Finally, Daddy poured the warm formula into two bottles and handed one to each of them. Minea happily took hers, but Monica sipped hers with a smug little grin — as if she had “won” the battle.
In truth, both got the same delicious milk, but Monica still walked away acting like the victorious queen of the kitchen.
