In the warm corner of a small backyard, Bibi the gentle dog and her tiny baby monkey friend were enjoying their favorite snack—a big pile of crunchy peanuts. The two were inseparable, always playing, napping, and even eating together. Today was no different. Bibi lay down lazily in the peanuts while the little monkey climbed on her back, giggling softly.
But suddenly, everything changed.
A much bigger, unfamiliar dog appeared at the gate. With a loud bark and a powerful run, it came charging toward them, shaking the ground beneath their paws. The peaceful peanut picnic turned into panic.
Startled, the baby monkey let out a sharp scream, his little hands trembling as he clung tightly to Bibi. The big dog’s loud growls frightened them both. Bibi barked once, then whined, trying to shield the baby with her body. But the fear was too much.
They both began to cry loudly, the monkey shrieking in fear while Bibi let out heartbroken howls. Their cozy peanut pile was forgotten, now scattered in all directions as they huddled together, terrified.
Luckily, their owner heard the commotion and rushed out, quickly removing the big dog from the area. Gently, she scooped up the baby monkey and hugged Bibi close, whispering calm words and petting them both.
The little monkey slowly stopped crying, burying his face in the owner’s shirt, while Bibi licked the monkey softly to reassure him. Safe once again, they were brought inside, away from the noise.
Later that day, they were back on their cozy blanket, peanuts nearby, but this time with extra cuddles and love.
One thing was clear: no matter how small or scared, Bibi and the baby monkey had each other’s hearts.
