Little Lyka, the tiny baby monkey, was wrapped safely in Mama’s warm arms. The morning sun peeked through the trees, and birds chirped happily—but Lyka was not happy.
She squirmed in Mama’s arms, her eyes wide and lips trembling. She was hungry—very hungry—and she wanted milk now.
Mama was gently rocking her, trying to calm her first, but Lyka had other plans. With no patience left, she suddenly let out a sharp, ear-piercing cry. It echoed through the room like thunder from such a small mouth.
She kicked her tiny legs, waved her arms, and threw her head back dramatically. “WAAAAH!” she screamed, louder and louder, turning red with frustration. She clung tightly to Mama’s chest, trying to get the milk faster.
Mama chuckled softly, as if to say, “Oh, Lyka, you little drama queen.”
But Lyka didn’t think it was funny. She was in full baby tantrum mode, her tail twitching and her face in a little storm of emotion.
Finally, Mama gave in and offered her the bottle.
The moment the milk touched her lips, Lyka froze. Her eyes closed halfway, and a peaceful sigh came out. She sucked quietly, all her anger forgotten in an instant.
Just minutes ago, she was the loudest thing in the house. Now, she was the calmest. Her tiny hands rested on Mama’s chest, and her body melted into comfort.
After a full belly, Lyka blinked sleepily and gave the tiniest smile, like nothing ever happened.
Because sometimes, all a baby monkey needs is a warm hug… and milk, right away.
