Tiny Loco’s Tears: Why Did Mom Leave Me?

Comments Off on Tiny Loco’s Tears: Why Did Mom Leave Me?

Little Loco, the tiniest baby in the family, sat frozen on the floor, eyes wide, her tiny fingers clenched into her blanket. The room was quiet—too quiet—and her mom had just stepped out for a minute to grab some fruit.

But to Loco, it felt like the whole world had disappeared.

Her little lips curled downward, and her eyes filled with tears. Then came the cries—sharp, high-pitched, and full of heartbreak.
“Mmm-mmm-mmm!” she wailed, rocking side to side. Her tail twitched anxiously, and her whole tiny body trembled.

She couldn’t understand. Why did Mom go? Was she coming back?

Loco had always been clingy, always the one who needed the most cuddles, the most kisses. Being alone, even for a few moments, felt like being abandoned.

When Mom returned, holding a piece of banana, she was met with Loco’s loud cries and tear-streaked face. The baby monkey turned her back, refusing the banana, folding her arms dramatically—full of resentment.

“Loco, it’s okay,” Mom cooed, gently touching her back. But Loco gave a tiny sniff and leaned away, still sulking.

Mom pulled her into a warm cuddle, rocking side to side, humming softly. After a minute, Loco gave in, letting her little head rest on Mom’s chest, still hiccuping between breaths.

She was safe again. She was loved. But oh, the heartbreak she had just endured!

Even the tiniest monkeys have big feelings.
