Too Cold! Tiny Monkey Terrified of Bath Water

Little Mimi had never felt anything like it before.

The moment her tiny foot touched the surface of the bath, she let out a sharp squeal. The cool water rippled gently, but to Mimi, it felt like a shock! Her fur puffed up, and her big eyes widened in panic.

She clung tightly to the edge of the towel, making tiny grunting sounds that clearly meant:
“No way, not going in there!”

Her caretaker tried to soothe her with kisses on the head and soft words. “It’s okay, baby… just a quick bath.” But Mimi wasn’t convinced. She wriggled and twisted, her skinny arms reaching for anything to hold on to.

As the caretaker gently lowered her in again, the water touched her belly, and she shrieked — a dramatic, heart-tugging sound like the world was ending. Her whole body trembled. She reached out with both arms, desperate to be lifted back out.

And of course, she was.

Wrapped back in her towel, warm and safe, she clung to her caretaker’s shirt and buried her face in the fabric. Her little heart pounded like a drum.

“Next time we’ll make it warmer,” the caretaker whispered, rocking her gently.

After a few minutes, Mimi finally calmed down, hiccupping from her sobs. A warm bottle of milk was offered, and she drank slowly, snuggled into soft arms. Her breathing settled, and her tail curled in peace.

She might not have finished her bath today, but she had made one thing clear: cold water is not for tiny baby monkeys.

Not yet.

For now, love, warmth, and patience would be enough. 🐵💗
