Little Cubin the baby monkey had always been the silly one in the family—funny, playful, and just a little dramatic. But today, his emotions went full volcano over the most serious crisis a baby monkey could face: Mom gave the banana to someone else first.
He gasped, eyes wide, then scrunched up his tiny face. “EEH!!” he shrieked, stomping both feet like a toddler having a meltdown.
Everyone in the room froze. Was Cubin… mad?
The next moment was a show. He puffed up his chest, folded his little arms, and turned his back to Mom with the most exaggerated huff anyone had seen. He even slapped the floor for extra drama, flopping over as if his whole world had ended.
Mom tried not to laugh. “Cubin, you’ll get your banana in one second—”
“NO!” Cubin yelled, clearly saying it with his whole pouty body. He threw himself onto his back, rolled over dramatically, and peeked to make sure everyone was watching.
He even scooted under the table, peeking out with narrowed eyes like a tiny angry gremlin.
Dad came in, holding the banana. “Is this for the King of Tantrums?”
Cubin sat up slowly, suspicious… then reached for it with both hands. But before grabbing it, he looked away, trying to act like he didn’t care. His little act had everyone laughing now.
Once he took a bite, all the anger melted like snow in sunshine. He smiled with stuffed cheeks, banana pieces on his lips, and gave a loud “Mmm!”
The tantrum was over. Cubin was back to being hilarious, adorable, and impossible not to love—even when he’s mad. 🐵🍌❤️
