BeBe’s Banana Tantrum

Comments Off on BeBe’s Banana Tantrum

It was a sunny morning in the backyard where baby monkey BeBe lived with his human mom. The air was warm, the birds were singing, and breakfast was almost ready. BeBe had one thing on his mind: bananas.

He jumped up and down on the wooden bench, chirping excitedly as he watched his mom slice fruits into a bowl. But when she handed him some papaya instead of his favorite banana, BeBe’s eyes went wide with disbelief.

He sniffed the bowl. No banana.
He looked at her. Still, no banana.

And then—the drama exploded.

BeBe threw the papaya onto the ground with a high-pitched screech. He stomped his tiny feet, rolled on the floor, and let out the angriest baby monkey cry he could manage. It echoed across the backyard.

“Aaah! Eeek! Neee!!”
He kicked his little legs and pouted his lips like the world had ended.

Mom knelt beside him, trying not to laugh at the sight. “BeBe, we’re out of bananas today,” she said gently, holding out a piece of mango. “This is sweet too.”

But BeBe wasn’t convinced. He turned his back, folded his arms, and let out one last loud sob before falling dramatically to the side.

Eventually, curiosity won. He peeked over his shoulder at the mango. Then he sniffed it. Then, cautiously, he took a bite.

His tantrum paused.

He chewed slowly… then faster… then grabbed the whole slice and munched happily.

Mom smiled and ruffled his fur. “Still my little prince, even without bananas.”

BeBe grunted, mouth full, but leaned into her hand.

Sometimes a tantrum just means, “I really wanted a banana.”
