In the middle of the sunny play yard, baby monkey Mato was bursting with energy. He wasn’t just playful today—he was like a tiny fireball, bouncing, leaping, and chattering louder than ever!
While the other baby monkeys were calmly enjoying snack time, Mato had other plans. He jumped up on a branch, spun around, and launched himself right into the middle of the group like a little rocket. Bananas went flying, and one of his mates squeaked in surprise.
But Mato didn’t stop. He was on fire—zooming around, throwing little leaves in the air, and even tugging a friend’s tail when no one was looking. His wild energy was too much for the peaceful morning.
Then, out of nowhere, Mato let out a loud squeal and threw a full-blown tantrum. Why? Because one of his mates wouldn’t let him take the biggest mango! He stomped his feet, rolled on the ground, and huffed like a drama king.
The other monkeys stared, wide-eyed. Even the older ones paused to watch his show.
Mato’s caretaker walked over calmly. “Mato,” she said with a smile, “you’ve got the energy of a firecracker, but no one likes a tantrum.”
He looked up with wide, blinking eyes, then slowly crawled over and plopped into her lap, still snorting softly through his nose. She handed him a small banana and gently rubbed his back.
“Let’s save that energy for jumping—not drama,” she chuckled.
Soon, Mato was back to his playful self, leaping through the trees, but this time with fewer tantrums and more smiles.
