Tiny Pavpav had always been the cheeky one. While most baby monkeys followed their moms around sweetly, Pavpav preferred causing mischief just to see what would happen.
This morning, he came up with a strange, silly plan:
Stand backward. Stay still. Ignore Mom.
Why?
No one really knew. Not even Pavpav.
His mom called him to come closer for breakfast grooming—but instead of listening, he spun around, turned his back to her, and stood like a stubborn little statue.
At first, his mom was confused.
Then she was annoyed.
She grunted, clapped her hands, even gave a little tug on his tail—but Pavpav stayed frozen, facing away with his arms crossed and a pout on his face.
It was like he was saying,
“I’m mad. Don’t know why. But I am.”
His mom circled around to look at him. He turned again. Backward.
She moved left. He turned right. Backward again.
The other baby monkeys started giggling, watching Pavpav’s strange little game.
Finally, Mom had enough. She grabbed him gently, spun him around, and gave him one firm look in the eyes.
That was it. The game was over.
Pavpav broke into a sheepish grin, squeaked softly, and wrapped his arms around her neck, clinging tight like nothing had happened.
Mom sighed, shaking her head with a half-smile.
She knew this tricky little boy would always test her—but deep down, he just wanted attention in the silliest ways.
And even when he stands backward for no reason at all…
he knows Mom will always turn him back around with love.
