The tiny newborn monkey lay curled in his soft nest, his pink face scrunching up as hunger burned in his tiny belly. He let out a weak whimper, then a louder cry.

He needed milk.

With his little hand trembling, he reached for something to suck on. His tiny fingers curled, and he stuffed one into his mouth, expecting warm, sweet milk…

But—nothing!

No milk. No comfort.

“EEEEEK!!”

The tiny baby threw his arms out, kicking his legs wildly. His frustration exploded as he screamed louder, his whole body shaking with anger!

He tried again—shoving his little finger deeper into his mouth. Still no milk!

“WAAAAH!! WAAAAAH!!”

His tiny face turned red with rage. His body twitched, his tail wiggling in frustration. Why wasn’t it working?!

Hearing the desperate cries, his mother rushed over. She scooped him up gently, pressing him close to her warm chest.

The moment she placed her real milk source near his mouth, he latched on instantly.

Silence.

His tiny body relaxed as the warm, sweet milk filled his tummy. His little fingers held onto his mom’s fur, his eyes closing in relief.

His angry tantrum was over—for now.

Mommy chuckled, kissing his tiny head.

“Silly little one, fingers aren’t milk!”
