The soft morning sun bathed the ground in a golden glow as tiny Dobi sat alone under a tree, her small body trembling. Her tiny hands wiped at her teary eyes, but the quiet sobs wouldn’t stop. She had lost sight of her mom for just a moment, and the fear in her little heart grew bigger with every passing second.
From a short distance away, Lil Doni heard her cries. His ears perked up, and his curious eyes scanned the area. As soon as he spotted Dobi, his tiny feet rushed forward. He didn’t like seeing his little friend so sad.
Dobi sniffled, rubbing her eyes, unaware that Doni had arrived. Without hesitation, Doni wrapped his tiny arms around her, pulling her close in a warm hug. His small fingers patted her back as if to say, “Don’t cry, I’m here.”
Dobi blinked in surprise. The warmth of Doni’s hug made her feel safe, and for the first time in minutes, her sobbing slowed. She looked up at him with teary eyes, and Doni gave her the sweetest little smile.
“Ehh… ehhh,” Dobi whimpered softly, but now her cries weren’t filled with fear. She leaned into Doni’s hug, feeling the comfort he offered.
Not far away, their moms watched with loving smiles, touched by the sweet bond between the two little ones.
Doni continued to hold Dobi, swaying slightly, as if rocking her worries away. Soon, her cries turned into quiet sniffles, then into silence. A soft giggle even escaped her lips when Doni gently poked her nose.
With a final squeeze, Doni pulled back, beaming at her. “See? No more tears.”
Dobi nodded, giving a shy smile. Thanks to Doni, she was okay again.
