A Tong Runs Fast, Crying Loudly After Losing Sight of His Mommy

Comments Off on A Tong Runs Fast, Crying Loudly After Losing Sight of His Mommy

Little A Tong was enjoying his time outside when something suddenly went wrong. One moment, he was happily following Mommy nearby. The next, he looked up and couldn’t see her anywhere.

A Tong froze.

His little eyes quickly moved from one side to the other. He searched behind the plants, looked around the yard, and then let out a loud cry.

“Eeee! Eeee! Eeee!”

Mommy was nowhere in his sight.

A Tong became more frightened. He started running as fast as his tiny legs could carry him, calling out with every step. His little arms moved wildly, and tears gathered in his eyes.

“Mommy! Mommy!”

He didn’t know where she had gone. All he knew was that he wanted her back.

A Tong ran toward one familiar spot, then turned around and hurried in another direction. Every few seconds, he stopped and looked around, hoping to see Mommy coming toward him.

His cries became louder.

“Eeeee!”

Fortunately, Mommy heard him.

She quickly called his name from nearby. “A Tong! I’m here, baby!”

A Tong suddenly stopped.

He recognized her voice.

His head lifted, and his worried eyes searched in the direction of the sound. Then he saw Mommy approaching.

The little monkey immediately ran toward her.

Mommy crouched down and gently welcomed him, allowing him to come close at his own pace. A Tong clung tightly to her and buried his face against her. His loud cries slowly turned into tiny whimpers.

“Oh, A Tong,” Mommy comforted him. “You couldn’t see me, could you?”

A Tong held on even tighter.

Mommy gently stroked his back and stayed beside him until he was calm. She understood that for a young baby, losing sight of a familiar caregiver could feel frightening. His running and crying were simply his way of trying to find safety.

After several quiet moments, A Tong finally lifted his head.

Mommy was still there.

He looked at her face, then reached for her hand as though asking her not to disappear again.

Mommy smiled. “I’m right here, little one.”

A Tong made a soft sound and settled beside her.

Soon, his frightened expression disappeared. He began looking around again, but this time he stayed close to Mommy instead of running away.

The scary moment had passed.

A Tong had learned that even when he couldn’t see Mommy for a moment, calling out could help her find him. And Mommy learned that her little boy needed reassurance whenever the world suddenly felt too big.

She gently held his tiny hand and whispered, “You don’t have to be afraid. We’ll stay close.”

A Tong rested peacefully against her.

His adventure had started with panic and loud crying, but it ended with the warmest thing he had been searching for all along—Mommy’s loving presence.
