Little Max had always been a gentle and affectionate baby monkey.

But there was one person he seemed especially attached to.

Jenny.

Whenever Jenny entered the room, Max’s eyes immediately followed her.

He would stop whatever he was doing and reach both tiny arms toward her.

“Jenny…”

His little voice was soft and pleading.

Jenny smiled and walked closer.

“Do you want Mommy Jenny?”

Max nodded excitedly and stretched his arms even farther.

The moment she picked him up, he wrapped his tiny arms tightly around her neck.

His little face rested against her shoulder as if he had finally found the safest place in the world.

Jenny gently rubbed his back.

“You missed me, didn’t you?”

Max gave a tiny happy squeak.

For him, Jenny wasn’t simply someone who cared for him.

She had become the person he searched for whenever he felt tired, frightened, lonely, or simply wanted affection.

One afternoon, Jenny became busy preparing things around the house.

Max sat nearby watching her.

At first, he played quietly.

But after a few minutes, he crawled toward her and reached up.

Jenny looked down.

“Just a moment, Max. I’m almost finished.”

Max waited.

Then he stretched his arms toward her again.

“Please…”

His tiny expression looked so hopeful that Jenny’s heart melted.

She put everything down and knelt beside him.

“Come here.”

Max immediately crawled into her arms.

He hugged her tightly and buried his face against her chest.

Jenny smiled and kissed his forehead.

“You always want your cuddles.”

Max held on even tighter.

Dad watched from nearby and smiled.

“He really treats Jenny like his mommy.”

Jenny gently stroked Max’s fluffy head.

“Maybe he just knows where he feels safe.”

Max looked up at her with his big innocent eyes.

Then he gently touched her cheek.

Jenny laughed softly.

“Oh, sweetheart.”

She hugged him again.

Later, when Max became hungry, Jenny prepared his appropriate meal and stayed beside him while he ate.

Afterward, she cleaned his little face and wrapped him in a soft blanket.

Max immediately reached for her again.

Jenny picked him up and rocked him gently.

His eyelids slowly became heavy.

Before falling asleep, he gave her one final little hug.

Jenny whispered,

“You never have to beg for love, Max. You are already loved.”

Max relaxed completely against her shoulder.

His breathing became slow and peaceful.

Soon, he was fast asleep in Jenny’s arms.

Jenny looked down at him with a warm smile.

She knew she couldn’t replace the mother he may have lost, but she could give him something every little heart deserved—patience, comfort, protection, and unconditional affection.

And as Max slept peacefully against her chest, his tiny hand remained curled around Jenny’s finger.

It was a small gesture.

But it said everything.

To Max, Jenny was home.
