It was a warm afternoon in the cozy little clearing where Mynu the baby monkey lived with his mother. Usually, mornings started with a refreshing bath, leaving Mynu feeling fresh and happy as he played around the trees. But today had been different—his mom had been so busy gathering food that she had forgotten Mynu’s morning routine.
As the day wore on, Mynu began to feel itchy. His tiny hands kept scratching his fur, and his face scrunched up in discomfort. He tried rolling on the grass and even rubbing against a tree trunk, but nothing helped. His mother noticed his restless movements and immediately realized her mistake.
“Oh, Mynu! I forgot to give you your bath this morning,” she exclaimed, rushing to his side. Her voice was filled with concern as she gently picked him up. “I’m so sorry, little one. Let’s fix that right away.”
Carrying Mynu to their favorite bathing spot—a shallow stream sparkling under the sunlight—she set him down on a smooth rock by the water. She scooped up some water with her hands and gently poured it over Mynu’s back, washing away the dust and calming his itchy skin.
Mynu’s frown slowly turned into a contented smile as the cool water soothed him. His mother carefully scrubbed his fur, humming a soft tune that made Mynu feel even more relaxed.
After the bath, his mom wrapped him in a soft leaf to dry him off. “There you go, all fresh and clean!” she said with a loving smile, giving him a little hug. “I promise I won’t forget next time.”
Mynu snuggled into her arms, his itchiness gone and his heart full of love. In that moment, he knew that even when mistakes happened, his mother’s care and affection would always make everything better.
