Little baby Jasmine was happily sitting nearby just moments ago, watching Mom with bright, loving eyes. She felt safe and calm as long as Mom was close.
But then—
Mom stepped away.
At first, Jasmine didn’t react right away. She blinked slowly, looking around as if trying to understand where Mom had gone.
The room suddenly felt different.
Too quiet. Too empty.
Her tiny face began to change.
Her lips trembled, and her small hands started moving nervously. She turned her head quickly, searching for Mom again and again.
But she couldn’t see her.
“Eee…”
The soft sound quickly grew louder.
“EEEEEE!”
Jasmine suddenly screamed loudly, her voice filled with fear and anger. The little monkey couldn’t handle being left alone, even for a moment.
Her small body shook as she cried, her sharp voice echoing through the room.
“Eee! Eee!”
She looked around desperately, her eyes wide and full of panic. For Jasmine, being alone felt scary and confusing.
Mom quickly heard the loud cries.
She rushed back into the room and saw the tiny monkey crying uncontrollably. Jasmine reached out immediately, her little hands asking to be picked up.
Mom didn’t wait.
She gently lifted Jasmine into her arms.
Almost instantly, the loud screaming began to fade. Jasmine held onto Mom tightly, still making small crying sounds, but slowly calming down.
Within moments, she became quiet again.
Her tiny body relaxed, and her breathing softened.
For little Jasmine, all she needed was simple—Mom close, holding her, making her feel safe again.
Because to her, being alone was the scariest thing of all.
