Early in the quiet morning, the house was still peaceful and silent. Mom was resting after a long night, enjoying a few more moments of sleep.
But someone else was already awake.
Tiny Pavpav slowly opened his eyes and looked around. The little baby monkey moved his tiny hands and stretched his small body, realizing he was alone nearby.
He wanted Mom.
At first, Pavpav made a soft sound.
“Eee…”
But Mom was still sleeping and didn’t hear him.
The impatient little monkey looked toward her again. His tiny face began to change, and his mouth slowly opened wider.
Then suddenly—
“EEEEEE!”
Pavpav let out a sharp, loud scream.
The small baby monkey waved his arms and kicked his tiny feet, calling for Mom to wake up. His voice was surprisingly strong for such a tiny body.
“Eeee! Eeee!”
He screamed again and again, determined to get Mom’s attention. The quiet room was suddenly filled with his loud cries.
Finally, Mom stirred from her sleep.
She quickly opened her eyes and looked over to see Pavpav shouting for her. The moment she noticed him, she stood up and walked over with a gentle smile.
Pavpav continued crying until Mom reached him.
Then Mom carefully picked him up into her warm arms.
Almost instantly, the loud screaming stopped. Pavpav relaxed against her chest, feeling safe and comforted again.
The tiny baby monkey had successfully woken Mom up.
Now he rested quietly, happy to be held exactly where he wanted to be.
