One afternoon, Mom was sitting calmly while little Linda rested comfortably in her arms. Linda looked peaceful and happy, enjoying the warm hug.
But someone else nearby was not happy at all.
Little Chichi was watching everything.
At first, Chichi stood quietly, staring at Mom and Linda. Her eyes followed every movement, and her tiny face slowly started to look upset.
She wanted Mom’s attention too.
The more she watched Linda sitting in Mom’s arms, the more jealous she felt. Her small body became tense, and she moved closer step by step.
Then suddenly—
“Eeee! Eeee!”
Chichi made sharp complaining sounds and rushed forward.
The jealous little monkey tried to push Linda away so she could take the comfortable spot beside Mom. Her tiny hands reached toward Linda, trying to move her away from the warm lap.
Linda looked surprised by the sudden attack.
Mom quickly noticed what was happening.
She gently stopped Chichi and held both baby monkeys carefully. Mom softly spoke to Chichi, trying to calm her down and show that there was enough love for both of them.
At first, Chichi still looked upset and stubborn.
But after a few moments, the angry expression slowly faded. She realized Mom was not choosing one over the other.
Mom then allowed both little monkeys to stay close.
Soon Chichi settled down beside Mom, no longer trying to fight Linda. The jealousy slowly disappeared as both babies shared the warm and safe moment together.
Sometimes baby monkeys feel jealous when they want love and attention.
But with patience and care, they can learn that there is always enough love to share.
