Morning sunlight shimmered through the leaves, casting gentle spots of gold across the nursery floor. In the corner, twin baby monkeys Selena and Ronaldo lay together on a soft blanket, still waking up from their nap. Everything seemed peaceful — until a tiny, high-pitched scream broke the calm.
It was Selena. Her face scrunched up tightly, eyes filled with fury, and before anyone knew it, she burst into loud, nonstop crying. “Eeeh! Eeeeh!” Her tiny arms flailed in all directions as if the whole world had upset her. Ronaldo, half-asleep beside her, looked up in confusion. His sleepy eyes blinked rapidly — he hadn’t done anything, but his little sister was already screaming at him like he had stolen her favorite toy.
Mom turned around in surprise. “Selena! What’s wrong, baby?” she asked, rushing over. But Selena didn’t stop. She pushed her feet against Ronaldo’s belly, wailing louder and louder. Poor Ronaldo squeaked softly, unsure what to do. He tried to cuddle close, hoping to calm her, but that only made things worse. Selena kicked again, her voice growing even sharper.
It was clear she wasn’t hurt — just angry for no reason at all. Perhaps she had woken up on the wrong side of the blanket, or maybe Ronaldo’s tail brushed her face by accident. Whatever it was, Selena had decided today was the day to let everyone know she was not happy.
Mom carefully lifted her up and rocked her gently. “There, there, my little drama queen,” she whispered, stroking Selena’s fuzzy back. But the tiny baby wasn’t ready to forgive yet. She pouted and whined, looking down at Ronaldo with teary eyes full of mock anger.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, sat quietly with his milk bottle, watching her with a puzzled face — as if silently asking, “What did I even do?”
After a few minutes, Selena’s cries softened. Mom offered her a bottle too, and slowly the little tantrum queen began to drink, hiccuping between sips. Ronaldo smiled faintly and reached out his tiny hand to touch hers.
Finally, Selena looked at him, blinked twice, and rested her head against his shoulder — all forgiven, all forgotten. The twins were peaceful again, side by side, proof that even the smallest arguments can melt away with a little love and warm milk.
