The gentle morning light streamed through the bamboo shades, filling the small room with a warm glow. Everyone had already been awake for a while — except for baby monkey Ronaldo, who was still fast asleep in his cozy blanket. When he finally stirred, blinking his tiny eyes open, the world seemed strangely quiet. Mom wasn’t right beside him, and that was all it took to make his mood explode.
A loud cry broke the calm morning air. “Eeeh! Eeeh!” Ronaldo wailed, his little arms flailing in frustration. His messy fur stuck up in every direction, his lips trembling as tears formed at the corners of his big brown eyes. He was confused, hungry, and — most of all — upset that Mom hadn’t greeted him the moment he woke up.
From across the room, Mom turned quickly, recognizing the familiar angry cry. “Ronaldo, my baby! Mommy’s here!” she said softly, hurrying to him. But Ronaldo wasn’t ready to forgive just yet. He cried even louder, his tiny fists pounding on the blanket like a grumpy little prince throwing a tantrum.
Mom picked him up gently, but he twisted and moaned, his face scrunched with stubborn emotion. It was as if he was saying, “You left me alone for too long!” She kissed his cheek, trying to calm him, but he only responded with louder cries — half sadness, half protest.
Finally, Mom prepared his warm bottle of milk. The moment Ronaldo caught the smell, his eyes widened, and his cries softened. His lips searched for the bottle instantly, and within seconds, the angry little monkey began drinking eagerly.
The sound of slurping replaced the crying. His small body relaxed in Mom’s arms, his breathing slowing down as the milk soothed him. Mom smiled, brushing his fur lovingly. “You’re just my little moody boy, aren’t you?” she whispered.
Ronaldo blinked sleepily, his tantrum melting into peace. He finished his milk and rested his head against Mom’s chest, the morning sun warming them both. His cries were forgotten, replaced by soft sighs of comfort — a reminder that sometimes, even the smallest hearts just need a little love to calm the storm.
