It was supposed to be a peaceful afternoon, but baby monkey Yuri had other plans. The moment she saw Mom holding little Minea, her tiny face twisted with jealousy. Her eyes widened, her lips pouted, and before anyone could stop her — she let out a dramatic scream that echoed through the whole yard.

Mom turned, startled. “Yuri! What’s wrong, my girl?” she asked gently. But Yuri wasn’t having it. She crossed her little arms, her tail flicking in anger, and stomped her tiny feet on the floor. Her loud cries filled the air, sharp and full of attitude. All because Mom refused to take Minea away.

Minea, still sitting quietly on Mom’s lap, looked up in confusion. She didn’t understand why her sister was so upset. She blinked softly, clutching Mom’s finger as if to say, “I didn’t do anything.” But that only made Yuri angrier.

“Yuri, sweetheart, you must share love,” Mom said softly, reaching out her hand. But Yuri backed away, shaking her head fiercely. She wanted all of Mom’s attention — not a single drop of it shared. Her cries grew louder, and she even threw herself onto the mat, kicking her legs in frustration.

Mom sighed patiently and placed Minea safely in her blanket before going to Yuri. She knelt beside her, gently stroking her back. “You are my baby too, always,” Mom whispered. “But Minea needs me right now, she’s smaller.”

For a moment, Yuri stayed still, sniffing and hiccupping from all the crying. Slowly, she lifted her eyes to Mom’s face. That same warmth — the love she always trusted — was still there. Her anger began to melt. She reached her tiny arms up, and Mom picked her up immediately.

Minea looked over from the blanket and gave a soft coo, watching her sister calm down. Soon, Yuri rested her head against Mom’s chest, her jealousy fading into sleepy sighs.

By evening, the two sisters sat side by side, eating their fruit together — no more screaming, just quiet love. Mom smiled; even with all the drama, she wouldn’t change a single thing.
