It was a calm afternoon, and tiny baby monkey Doddy, the smallest in the family, was clinging gently to his mommy’s chest. His soft eyes blinked sleepily as she walked across the yard. But then — by accident — Mommy slipped on a patch of dry leaves. It happened so fast that she lost her balance for just a moment, and Doddy slipped from her arms, landing softly on the grass below.
The baby froze for a second, stunned by surprise. Then, realizing what had happened, he let out a loud, heartbreaking cry. His tiny mouth opened wide, and tears began streaming down his little face. “Waaah!” he wailed, kicking his legs and waving his tiny hands in the air. His body shook with emotion — a full baby tantrum.
Mommy’s heart sank. She rushed to scoop him up immediately, holding him close. “Oh no, my baby, I’m so sorry!” she whispered, stroking his back. But Doddy wasn’t ready to forgive her yet. He turned his face away, puffing his cheeks angrily and letting out more tiny squeaks of protest.
He sat on the ground, crossing his little arms in the funniest baby pose, still sobbing and glaring at her as if saying, “You dropped me, Mommy! I’m so mad!” The scene was so adorable that even while worrying, Mommy couldn’t help but smile through her concern.
To calm him, she gently tickled his belly and offered his favorite warm milk. At first, Doddy refused, turning his head away dramatically. But after a few seconds, his tummy gave a tiny growl — and he couldn’t resist. Slowly, he accepted the bottle, his crying fading into little sniffles.
Once full, he reached up and wrapped his arms around Mommy’s neck, burying his face into her fur. The tantrum was over; he just wanted love.
Mommy kissed the top of his head and whispered, “It’s okay now, my sweet Doddy.”
A moment that began with tears ended with the sweetest cuddle — because even when tiny tempers flare, a mother’s love always makes everything right again.
